Northwest Center

We are happy to shine our Partner Spotlight on Northwest Center, an community organization serving the needs of Chicago families!

The Northwest Center (formerly Northwest Side Housing Center (NWSHC)) founded in 2003 works to improve the economic well-being and quality of life of community residents both in Belmont Cragin and the northwest side of Chicago. Their work touches on housing, financial opportunity, and community health. Additionally, they organize a Parent University at Steinmetz College Prep to offer free resource programs and mentor parents looking to get more involved with their local schools. As a founding AHHN community partnership council member, NWC played a pivotal role in Lurie Children’s Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) grant application. They’ve also been a key partner of Lurie Children’s neighborhood-based initiative work in the Belmont Cragin community since 2017.
